Pan Fried Steel’s director, Ian Ramsey, is the Chair of Visual and Performing Arts at North Yarmouth Academy. The band started in 2000 when parents of NYA students wanted to get in on the fun their children were having with Ian's steel drums. By now some of those NYA students have kids of their own. PFS members come from Readfield, Boothbay Harbor, Gardiner, Cape Elizabeth and points between. During the pandemic we practiced under the Route 1 highway bridge: great acoustics!
We practice most Monday nights at 6:30 in the music room at North Yarmouth Academy.
